Step 1: Review Program and Application Requirements

Application Instructions: Before you begin your graduate application to Georgia Tech, please make sure to read the application instructions carefully. Although you will be able to add some materials after you have submitted your application, you will not be able to make revisions once it has been submitted.

Deadlines: Deadlines vary by program. Be sure to confirm the deadline of your intended program of study to ensure that you apply on time.

Application Requirements: While Tech has Institute-level requirements, many graduate programs require additional qualifications and materials for the application.

Before you begin the application process, visit your intended graduate program of study webpage for program-specific admission requirements such as application deadlines, early deadlines for assistantships, fellowships and awards, test score minimums, statement of purpose, and portfolio.

Questions about application requirements should be directed to your program of interest. Visit Degree Programs to find contacts and other helpful information.

Step 2: Review Country-Specific Requirements for Documents and English Proficiency

International Academic Credentials/Documents: You must submit academic credentials/documents (transcripts, mark sheets, or diploma supplement) in the native language and provide an English translation from an official translation agency. Review the country-specific guidelines to determine the academic records you need to submit in order to be considered for admission.

Georgia Tech accepts credential evaluations from the following services:

If you do not use one of the approved credential evaluation services, then your credentials will be evaluated by the Office of Graduate Education. This in-house processing results in a longer application verification time.

Proof of English Language Proficiency: Georgia Tech requires that all applicants provide proof of English language proficiency at the time of application. Learn more about the ways this requirement can be satisfied on the English Proficiency page.
