How do I activate my GT account?

To activate your GT account please follows the steps below.

1. Go to http://gtid.gatech.edu/ to look up your GT ID number. When looking up your GT ID number, please enter your first name, last name and birth date only. Please keep your GT ID number in a safe location as this ID will be used to identify you throughout the admissions process.
2. Once you have accessed your GT ID number, please go to https://passport.gatech.edu/activate/index.php to activate your GT account and view your GT Account Username and Password. Please keep this information in a safe location as you will use your Username and Password to access your Buzzport account.
3. Now that you have activated your gt account you will be able to login to most Georgia Tech information systems, such as BuzzPort and T-Square.

NOTE:  If you are a current Georgia Tech undergraduate student, you do not need to do this--your account and access will continue as already established.
